Tour de France 2011

I am a huge fan of the Tour de France and can usually be found glued to my tv every morning watching the days racing, although I was in New York for a few days and couldn't get the race on the hotel tv but did come back home in time to see the end.  I was cheering for Alberto Contador but am happy that Cadel Evans came through to win.  Even my little guys are fans and here are some shots of Auzzie watching in the middle stages before they hit the Alps.

Some of the miniatures have been meeting together when I'm not looking.  Here are Ciao and Loli along with two of my many Lalaloopsys.

Traveling Friends Part 6

Looking back at these latest pictures of little cuties traveling around, all I could think was how lucky my friends and I  have been this year -being able to travel and experience different places in the world or just staying put but seeing things through different eyes.

Anyway to continue with the adventures...  Now JPG (or Gaston as I still think of him) and Auzzie have travelled down to Newport Beach in Southern California to attend a wedding and the first place they went to was the long, pristine, white beach.

Look at that blue sky, not a cloud in the sky and the beach...

Got Seaweed??  It's supposed to be very healthy for you.  Chefs are starting to use different types of seaweed in recipes.

What's up next.  Probably my 2nd NYC trip last week which was incredibly hot but great fun.

Stay tuned.

Continuing Travels with Gaston

Ah Gay Paree and the home away from home for Gaston who managed to get in a few touristy things such as climbing the Eiffel Tower and drinking yet more wine in France...

And what about this amazing display of other little people

Traveling Friends Part 5

Meanwhile back in France, we have Gaston or as one co worker called him JPG (jean-paul Gaultier  because of his striped sailor top).  He was continuing his adventures though the lavender and sunflowers fields of the south of France.  Here is his impression of "Where's Waldo but instead it's Where's Gaston??

Birdhouse

Here is one last picture of the bird house where poor Ciao was forgotten for the rest of the trip...

Traveling Friends Part 4

This time we have Ciao visiting Rome, Florence and The Amalfi Coast.  Unfortunately she was left behind in a bird house in Tuscany and missed all the action in Capri.  She was found, thankfully before she became part of a bird nest and made it back to Toronto, albeit two weeks after her travelling companions.

Here a few pics with her eating and drinking and sightseeing:

Sorry for the blurry pics but she was trying to get close the the Pieta sculpture by Michelangelo at St. Peter's Basilica.  I'd rather she's blurry than than the sculpture.  What beauty!!

Now to Manga!!

Traveling Friends Part 3

So I've actually had to keep a small log of which doll is traveling where and with whom because at this point in the summer all my friends and coworkers are coming and going on vacations and I have all of them taking a little companion along for the ride.

Today's pictures are brought to your from the South of France and although the little traveler is sometimes a bit blurry the scenery is lovely.  My friend is traveling along the lavender route in the south of France and stopping here and there to take a few pictures.

Here we have Gaston visiting his home country of France and enjoying alittle Cafe Creme before starting on his car tour through the south.  Vive L'France.

Ah Nice is so nice.  I can almost smell the ocean and see the people on the boardwalk taking an evening stroll.

Stayed tuned as there will be more pics from Italy tomorrow with Ciao, who has been more places than the other little ones so far and is lording it over the others.

Traveling Friends Part 2

Another coworker has just come back from Paris and of course had to take along a little friend - Chad the cowboy from my Little planet set.  He toured around Paris for abit and managed to take these shots for my blog.

Le Cafe Marly is a lovely restaurant on the side of the Louvre that serves a nice strawberry breakfast and then Chad had to pose with the I M Pei Pyramid.  This little guy cracks me up because I love his expression.

Travelling Friends

As some of you may know from when I started this blog, my idea was to photograph different dolls, especially miniatures such as Little Big Planets in interesting settings and also to have them travel around the world with friends and family.  Well these last two months, people have been traveling here and there and most have gone with a little companion.

First off is one of the cute Lalaloopsy and her trip to Rome where she visited the Vatican and climbed the Spanish Steps.

I wish I was traveling around as much as these little people.  At the moment I have three little ones out visiting Paris, South of France and one just got back from Italy.

Stay tuned...

What's on my desk this week

Well I can't believe it has been almost three weeks since I last posted.  I keep telling myself that I will post once a week but the summer is moving along so fast that it's already July 10th. But I did manage to take pics of the dolls on my desk - Dead Tired Lagoona and Draculara.  They are the cutest things and have stopped traffic in the store.  Draculara even looks like one of the young girls who works at the store.

Lagoona came with the hydrating station that I have yet to unbox  but looks kinda cool and would be especially cool if I was 15 again and had it on my night table like some lava lamp.

I love their quirky slippers, Drac's have little bag wings on them.

And one more with the Histamatic on the Iphone.

Now to see what I will bring in this week.  It's actually fun to go through my collection and look back at older dolls or the newer releases.  Even trying to fill a theme like summer or super hot, hot weather.
